As a PLC / SCADA Engineer at POWARE, you’ll contribute to the development, optimisation and renewal of systems that are truly critical for businesses. You’ll combine independent work with the power of teamwork – as part of the close-knit POWARE team you can rely on and share knowledge with. You’ll also have every opportunity to realise your ambitions and develop further across a wide range of sectors.
What will you do?
In this role, you’ll translate client requirements into practical solutions. You’ll ensure that production control and information systems are reliable and future-proof. Specifically, this means you will:
- Design, configure and optimise PLC and SCADA systems.
- Test and commission systems to ensure smooth and error-free operation.
- Advise on improvements and implement them yourself.
- Provide application training so users can get the most out of the systems.
What we ask of you
You have a passion for industrial automation and enjoy working in varied environments. You also bring:
- A completed higher professional qualification or university degree in a technical field.
- Several years of experience configuring one or more PLC and/or SCADA systems, such as ABB, Allen-Bradley, Bachmann, GE, Omron, Mitsubishi, Schneider Electric or Siemens.
- Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
- A client-oriented, ambitious attitude and a drive for teamwork.
- A structured working style and discipline in your approach.
What you’ll get from us
To start, we offer you a lot of flexibility in employment terms. You can choose a ‘standard’ employment contract or a bonus contract. In both cases, you’ll earn an above-average salary. You’ll also receive:
- A permanent employment contract from day one.
- 30 days of annual leave and a day off every five years on Liberation Day.
- A solid collective pension scheme.
- A company car or a generous travel allowance – your choice.
- Everything you need to do your job well: from a quality office chair to extra monitors and a smartphone.
- The opportunity to take training or courses whenever you wish.
- Always a say in your next assignment – something that truly suits you.

At POWARE, applying always starts with a good conversation. We want to know who you are, what you can do and most of all: what you want. To support this, we use our own developed scan to gain insight into your ambitions and motivations. Sometimes a technical analysis follows: an in-depth discussion with a colleague to map your knowledge and experience.
If your profile matches one of our ongoing projects, you’ll be able to get started quickly. Otherwise, we’ll actively look for a suitable assignment – sometimes with existing clients, sometimes with new ones.
