As a Control Systems Engineer at POWARE, you’ll enjoy variety, challenging projects and plenty of room to grow. You’ll work across different environments on DCS, PLC and/or SCADA systems, getting to see how various companies operate ‘behind the scenes’. You’ll combine independent work with the support of a close-knit team, because at POWARE we believe in sharing knowledge, learning together and enjoying time together.

What will you do?

As a Control Systems Engineer, you’ll work on challenging projects for leading clients. On each project, you are the specialist. You design and modernise control and information systems and translate client requirements into concrete solutions. You will also:

  • Advise on and implement improvements.
  • Train users so they can get the most out of the systems.
  • Be responsible for testing and commissioning systems.

Interested in growing into a lead engineer role? We’ll help you take that step.

What we ask of you

You have a solid foundation and the drive to develop your knowledge further. You also bring:

  • A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree at higher vocational or university level.
  • Experience with at least two DCS, PLC and/or SCADA systems, such as ABB, Allen-Bradley, Emerson, Foxboro, Hima, Honeywell, Siemens or Yokogawa.
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • A proactive mindset – you take initiative and think ahead.

What you’ll get from us

To start, we offer you a lot of flexibility in employment terms. You can choose a ‘standard’ employment contract or a bonus contract. In both cases, you’ll earn an above-average salary. You’ll also receive:

  • A permanent employment contract from day one.
  • 30 days of annual leave and a day off every five years on Liberation Day.
  • A solid collective pension scheme.
  • A company car or a generous travel allowance – your choice.
  • Everything you need to do your job well: from a quality office chair to extra monitors and a smartphone.
  • The opportunity to take training or courses whenever you wish.
  • Always a say in your next assignment – something that truly suits you.

Ready to apply?

At POWARE, applying always starts with a good conversation. We want to know who you are, what you can do and most of all: what you want. To support this, we use our own developed scan to gain insight into your ambitions and motivations. Sometimes a technical analysis follows: an in-depth discussion with a colleague to map your knowledge and experience.

If your profile matches one of our ongoing projects, you’ll be able to get started quickly. Otherwise, we’ll actively look for a suitable assignment – sometimes with existing clients, sometimes with new ones.

About POWARE

At POWARE, we pay attention to your personal ambitions. Do you want to deepen your expertise in a new field? Work for the same client for a longer – or shorter – time? Or try a different type of assignment? From offshore to food, from chemicals to sustainable energy: there is plenty of variety and room to grow.

The H-factor: humanity

Because we are a flat organisation, we act quickly. No endless meetings or slow processes – if something needs to be arranged, we simply do it. We also value connection beyond work. We meet several times a year for knowledge sessions, outings and events. And sometimes it’s the little things: a quick call to see how you’re doing, a birthday card, or a small gift at Easter. In short, at POWARE you work in an environment where humanity and technology reinforce each other.
