As a DCS / Safety Control Engineer, you’ll work on challenging projects across a range of sectors – from oil & gas to food and sustainable energy. Every challenge offers an opportunity to learn and the experience you gain can be applied with other clients. You’ll never work in isolation: although you’re assigned to a client, you remain part of POWARE’s close-knit team. Equally important, at POWARE there is genuine attention to you and your ambitions.

What will you do?

As a DCS / Safety Control Engineer, you’ll take on challenging projects for leading clients. You’ll ensure that systems perform well: safely, reliably and future-proof. Specifically, this means you will:

  • Design, modernise and implement DCS and/or Safety Systems (SIS).
  • Translate client requirements into practical control solutions.
  • Advise on improvements and implement them yourself.
  • Test and commission systems to ensure flawless operation.
  • Train users to get the most out of the systems.

Interested in growing into a lead engineer role? We’ll help you take that step.

What we ask of you

You’re an experienced engineer who thrives in complex environments. You also bring:

  • A technical bachelor’s or master’s degree at higher vocational or university level.
  • Experience with at least two DCS and/or Safety Systems, for example ABB, Allen-Bradley, Emerson, Foxboro, Hima, Honeywell, Siemens or Yokogawa.
  • Preferably a TÜV Functional Safety Engineer certificate.
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • A proactive mindset – you take initiative and think ahead.

What you’ll get from us

To start, we offer you a lot of flexibility in employment terms. You can choose a ‘standard’ employment contract or a bonus contract. In both cases, you’ll earn an above-average salary. You’ll also receive:

  • A permanent employment contract from day one.
  • 30 days of annual leave and a day off every five years on Liberation Day.
  • A solid collective pension scheme.
  • A company car or a generous travel allowance – your choice.
  • Everything you need to do your job well: from a quality office chair to extra monitors and a smartphone.
  • The opportunity to take training or courses whenever you wish.
  • Always a say in your next assignment – something that truly suits you.

About POWARE

At POWARE, we pay attention to your personal ambitions. Do you want to deepen your expertise in a new field? Work for the same client for a longer – or shorter – time? Or try a different type of assignment? From offshore to food, from chemicals to sustainable energy: there is plenty of variety and room to grow.

The H-factor: humanity

Because we are a flat organisation, we act quickly. No endless meetings or slow processes – if something needs to be arranged, we simply do it. We also value connection beyond work. We meet several times a year for knowledge sessions, outings and events. And sometimes it’s the little things: a quick call to see how you’re doing, a birthday card, or a small gift at Easter. In short, at POWARE you work in an environment where humanity and technology reinforce each other.
